Arming Teachers...

..when children live in a society where adults have the audacity to suggest to arm teachers, I am wondering who is going to take care of our children; including the ones who are the potential shooters... no child grabs a gun and opens fire, unless something is going very, very wrong...

When Things Get Bad, Pray to Universe that they Get Worse....

When things are bad, pray to the universe and ask that they get worse; that they get so unbearable that you reach a breaking point and have no other option than to see the truth; the naked truth...and that is when life gets most interesting—changes start to happen and you move closer toward your true path...

Freedom of Speech

...if your "freedom" of speech mattered, you would not have it...

...it is soothing to think that one is free...one is free; just not the way the society presents freedoms... once we truly can wrap our minds around that, we can live out our true freedoms; freedoms we were born with, freedoms that every living creature has a birth right to--to honor themselves, to be themselves, to expand and live up to their potentials; all things in essence, contrary to what the society is desperately trying to teach us...

Sexual Misconduct

...no man/boy was born with the tendency to disrespect women...disrespect toward women is one of the many consequences of what we teach children; of our social conditioning... the majority of the consequences of our teachings, however, are deeply hidden, under the iceberg...the suffering goes on until one day, society is fed up with it and the sickness comes out in the open, just like sexual misconduct that has been going on since the end of the hunter and gatherer societies...humanity appears to have had enough of sexual misconduct; maybe...but as long as the true source of the problem--social conditioning--is not addressed, there is little hope for true change...

..."boys" are not born with the notion to disrespect females; gender itself is a social construct...parents, teachers, society; all are involved in social conditioning of our children... we condition boys to have an unhealthy relationship with themselves, with others, with sexuality and the long list goes on... we condition women in similar ways...funny, that we act so surprised when "men" "leash" out even though we as a society are the ones who conditioned them in the first place...but then it is always easier to point a finger at "the others" to make yourself feel good than to question the very construct your society is built on...

You Are God

You are God—have you seen yourself lately, how beautiful and perfect you are?

Do you know how to show yourself to the world—the true, honest you? Do you, really?

Do you know how to let your light shine and lighten up the world? Or did they teach you to be careful; to not show the world who you really are, because the fake you is allegedly more “suitable” to this world than the god in you?

Did you buy into the lies that you were conditioned to learn about yourself? The lies that your parents, your teachers, the society may have told you?

Did they teach you to disregard your powers—to move around the world, constantly hiding your light out of fear that someone may see it? Is that what you are using your energies for, or are you using your energies to light up the world with your shine?

Donald Trump, Reflection of Our Spiritual Maturity as a Society

Donald Trump is one of the most visible and best measurements of our spiritual maturity as a society, as also reflected in our dealings with his actions; the finger pointing, the looking for answers outside of ourselves, and many other reactions that are comical at best… wondering when humanity is going to learn how to do better than the status-quo…

Quotes from “Social Dominance. An Intergroup Theory of Social Hierarchy and Oppression” by Jim Sidanius and Felicia Pratto

“Marxism argues that those with the over and control over the means of production will exploit those with little power and control. Because those who own capital have a major power advantage over those who sell labor, these owners are able to structure economic transactions in ways that almost always benefits themselves at the cost of workers.” (p. 21).

“…ideology functions to justify and support hierarchical group relations and that ruling elites largely control the contents and framing of social discourse. Because of this control of social ideology, ruling elites are able to convince not only themselves but, more importantly, their subordinates of the legitimacy of their rule.” (p. 22).

“…the longer an organization exists, the more its efforts will wander away from its original social purpose and toward the preservation of the organization itself. This reasoning lead to Michels’s assertion of the iron law of oligarchy, the notion that all social organization inevitably lead to social oligarchy, or the rule of the few.” (p. 24).

“…from the Paretian point of view democracy and “equality of opportunity for all” are merely illusions and are not possible of being realized, not even in principle.” (p. 26).

“The Trimorphic Structure of Group-Based Social Hierarchy […]  age system […] gender system […] arbitrary-set [race, ethnicity etc.] system. […] The arbitrary-set system is also by far, associated with the greatest degree of violence, brutality, and oppression. While the age and gender systems are certainly no strangers to very brutal forms of social control, the brutality associated with arbitrary-set systems very often far exceeds that of the other two systems in terms of intensity and scope.”  (p. 34).

“…every attempt to abolish arbitrary-set, group-based hierarchy within societies of economic surplus, have, without exception, failed.” (p. 35).

“Systems of group-based social hierarchy are not maintained simply by the oppressive activities of dominants or the passive compliance of subordinates, but rather by the coordinated and collaborative activities of both dominants and subordinates.” (p. 45).

“…the greater the degree to which dominants can induce subordinates to endorse self-demeaning ideologies such as anti-Black racism, the less physical force or threat of force (i.e., terror) will be necessary in order to keep the hierarchical group relationships in place. […] within the contemporary United States and Western Europe, one of the reasons that the Protestant work ethic is such a potent HE-LM is because it is widely embraced across broad swaths of the social power continuum, by rich and poor, Black and White, men and women.” (p. 47).
